Fred’s Bio:
“Fred Vine is an accomplished fingerstyle and bottleneck slide guitar guitarist with eclectic musical tastes, with country blues, ragtime, and contemporary Americana making up his extensive repertoire.

With the sound of the Beatles in his head, Fred fell in love with the guitar when he first picked it up at age twelve. Among Fred’s many influences are Rev. Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Jelly Roll Morton, Muddy Waters, Jorma Kaukonen, Chet Atkins and Duke Ellington. Fred has shared the stage with legendary performers including Muddy Waters, John Hammond, Dave Van Ronk, Guy Davis, and Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams!”

Not a bad resume, and he writes many fine songs and tells amazing stories in his live performances too!

Our bassist, Greg Franklin has been playing gigs lately with Fred, and will be showing us what they’re up to.

Greg Franklin, Levon Jones, Lee Kaminske, and Mike Pavone and Gordon Munding will be serving up a hot gumbo of Blues & Roots music for the first and third sets , and Fred will play at 7pmish!
